A day trip to the global centre for arts & fashion. We travelled by Eurostar train which departs from St Pancras International and arrives at Paris, Gare Du Nord Station. The journey took about 2hrs and cost us S$ 450 for a 2 way return tickets.
Similar to our MRT and London's Tube, you may take the RER trains serving the city centre and the suburbs.
On our way to the Eiffel Tower, we took the RER-B (Blue line) to Saint - Michel Notre Dame and changed to the RER-C (Yellow line). It took us about 40 mins to reach Eiffel Tower.
1. Eiffel Tower & River Seine First stop, the Eiffel Tower & River Seine. We suggest that you take a walk across the river to Jardins Du Trocadero Park for a full view of the tower.
2. Lourve Museum Next stop, we took the RER C (2 stops) along River Seine to our next destination. We alight at Gare Musee d'Orsay and walked across the river to Louvre Museum.
3. Notre Dame.
Last stop, we make our way to Notre Dame. It took us about 20mins to walk along River Seine to the cathedral. We managed to catch the Cathedral bells playing. You may check out our video for the experience.
We call it a day as we need to catch the evening train back to London. We took the RER C - Yellow line straight back to where we started. It may have been a short trip but we are glad that we have managed to experience Paris in a day.
